Yahweh: The Volcano God
74
It is very clear from descriptions in the Hebrew Bible, that Yahweh, the god of the ancient Hebrews is a raging volcano god. He lives in a volcano called Mount Sinai. Here are some examples:
Exodus 19:18: “Mount Sinai was covered with smoke, because the LORD descended on it in fire. The smoke billowed up from it like smoke from a furnace, and the whole mountain trembled violently.”
Deuteronomy 4:11-12: “You came near and stood at the foot of the mountain while it blazed with fire to the very heavens, with black clouds and deep darkness. Then the LORD spoke to you out of the fire. You heard the sound of words but saw no form; there was only a voice.”
Micah 1:4:
"The mountains melt beneath him and the valleys split apart, like
wax before the fire, like water rushing down a slope.”
Deuteronomy 9:21
21Also I took that sinful thing of yours, the calf you had made, and burned it
in the fire. Then I crushed it and ground it to powder as fine as dust and
threw the dust into a stream that flowed down the mountain.
Exodus 24:17
17 To the Israelites the glory of the LORD looked like a consuming fire on top
of the mountain.
Deuteronomy 5:4
4 The LORD spoke to you face to face out of the fire on the mountain.
Psalm 11
6 On the wicked he will rain fiery coals and burning sulfur; a scorching wind
will be their lot.
Psalm 18
7 The earth trembled and quaked and the foundations of the mountains shook;
they trembled because he was angry.
8 Smoke rose from his nostrils; consuming fire came from his
mouth, burning coals blazed out of it.
Psalm 50
3 Our God comes and will not be silent; a fire devours before him, and around
him a tempest rages.
Psalm 89
46 How long, LORD? Will you hide yourself forever? How long will your wrath
burn like fire?
Psalm 97
2Clouds and thick darkness surround him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne.
3Fire goes before him and consumes his foes on every side.
4His lightning lights up the world; the earth sees and trembles.
5The mountains melt like wax before the LORD, before the Lord of all the earth.
The Bible says that Yahweh used a “pillar of cloud” (volcano smoke) to guide the Hebrews through the wilderness by day, and a “pillar of fire” (volcano fire/smoke) by night.
Exodus 13:21: “By day the LORD went ahead of them in a pillar of cloud to guide them on their way and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so that they could travel by day or night."
It is well known that volcanic eruptions can cause lightning. This is caused by friction between particles.
Exodus 19:16: "On the morning of the third day there was thunder and lightning, with a thick cloud over the mountain, and a very loud trumpet blast. Everyone in the camp trembled.”
Psalms 97:1-5: “The LORD reigns, let the earth be glad; let
the distant shores rejoice. Clouds and thick darkness surround him;
righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne. Fire goes before
him and consumes his foes on every side. His lightning lights up the world; the
earth sees and trembles. The mountains melt like wax before the LORD, before
the Lord of all the earth."
Exodus 20:18: "When the people saw the thunder and lightning and heard the trumpet and saw
the mountain in smoke, they trembled with fear. They stayed at a distance"
The mountain that is currently called Mount Sinai is not the one described in the Bible. The Biblical Mount Sinai is clearly a volcano, probably Mount Bedr, a volcano in north-western Saudi Arabia.
When ancient people saw terrifying events such as a volcanic eruption, then they understandably thought that a powerful god was angry at them and so they needed to sacrifice some animals to appease this raging god. But now we know better, gods do not live inside volcanoes in reality.

Great stuff again. Of course, what's tragic if hilarious is that 99% of people reading (even the smarter cookies) will not get that it applies to their own supernatural beliefs in other forms of reification, such as "0d particles", "energy", "space-time", and so on!
I guess we never learned anything from horrendous intellectual mistakes made by every socio-cultural movement from ancient Egyptians and Greeks to Catholicism and Ptolemy.
Nice data Infiniete712! Keep up the grate job. I have read all of your docs!! Thanks.
Hi,
I was wondering where the beautiful painting is from at the top of this post.
Thanks,

Shalom,
Take the Ecclesiastical stain glass spectacles from your eyes & read Exodus 18 & 19 & see what is before your eyes. Jethro, the priest of Midian, introduced his son-in-law, Moses to VOLCANO worship on Mt Sinai:
“For Yahweh your God is a devouring fire, a jealous God”
Deuteronomy 4:24.
Thy God is a consuming fire - They had seen him on the mount as an unconsuming fire, while appearing to Moses, and giving the law; and they had seen him as a consuming fire in the case of Korah, Dathan, Abiram, and their company. They had, therefore, every good to expect from his approbation, and every evil to dread from his displeasure.
Deuteronomy 4:11 You came near and stood at the foot of the mountain while it blazed with fire to the very heavens, with black clouds and deep darkness.
Deut. 4.11, 12 and the smoke thereof ascended as the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mount quaked greatly.
Deuteronomy 5:4 The LORD spoke to you face to face out of the fire on the mountain.
Deuteronomy 4:32-43 "For ask now of the days that are past ... whether there hath been any such thing as this great thing is? ... Did ever people hear the voice of God speaking out of the midst of the fire, as thou hast heard, and live? Or hath God assayed to go and take him a nation from the midst of another nation, by trials , by signs, and by wonders ... according to all that the LORD your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes?"
Deuteronomy 33:2 He said: "The LORD came from Sinai and dawned over them from Seir; he shone forth from Mount Paran. He came with myriads of holy ones from the south, from his mountain slopes.
Exodus 20:18 When the people saw the thunder and lightning and heard the trumpet and saw the mountain in smoke, they trembled with fear. They stayed at a distance.
Exodus 24:17 To the Israelites the glory of the LORD looked like a consuming fire on top of the mountain.
Leviticus 10:2 So fire came out from the presence of the LORD and consumed them, and they died before the LORD.
Leviticus 9:24And there came a fire out from before the LORD, and consumed upon the altar the burnt offering and the fat: which when all the people saw, they shouted, and fell on their faces.
Numbers 16:35 And there came out a fire from the LORD, and consumed the two hundred and fifty men that offered incense.
Isaiah 29:6 the LORD Almighty will come with thunder and earthquake and great noise, with windstorm and tempest and flames of a devouring fire.
Isaiah 33:14 The sinners in Zion are terrified; trembling grips the godless: "Who of us can dwell with the consuming fire? Who of us can dwell with everlasting burning?"
Isaiah 66:15 See, the LORD is coming with fire, and his chariots are like a whirlwind; he will bring down his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire.
Isaiah 10:17 The Light of Israel will become a fire, their Holy One a flame; in a single day it will burn and consume his thorns and his briers.
Hebrews 10:27 but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God.
Hebrews 10:31 It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
Hebrews 12:18 You have not come to a mountain that can be touched and that is burning with fire; to darkness, gloom and storm;
YHWH is the tribal god of the Jews & not the God & Father of Jesus Messiah.
Moses and company were walking towards Mount Ararat, a now dormant volcano in south east Turkey where a mud volcano was mistaken for the mythical Ark. Ararat erupted some time in the third millenium BC (bronze age artefacts and human remains have been found under the lava) and would have been visible from the Sinai Peninsular. The forty years story is an old travellers'tale, "My feet hurt so much! we must have been walking for forty years!"
Yahuwah who you call yahweh is not a Volcano God. Yahu was a city in the desert of southern canaan now Jordan. The people who lived in that city, named it after there God. The Egyptians called the people Shasu meaning " THOSE WHO MOVE ON FOOT." The shasu were Canannite/Israelites! YaHuWaH is very real and he is not a Volcano. Now they have found the real Mt.Sinai in Arabia. here is the website http://www.arkdiscovery.com/mt__sinai_found.htm

Yahweh is the true God. Volcano gods do not die on a cross and come back from the dead. The Hebrews followed the one true God, when Jesus walked the earth He was God in the flesh. Do not confuse ancient superstition with the one true God.
